Theangela is an ancient Leleg city located on Kale Dağı, a hilltop standing at 538 meters near Pınarlıbelen, along the Mumcular-Bodrum route. It is believed to have been founded in the first half of the 4th century BC during the reign of King Mausolos. The fortified castle ruins at the eastern end of the peak feature walls 2-3 meters thick, reinforced at regular intervals with towers. Within lie traces of a stadium-like structure, house foundations, and remnants of wells and cisterns. The summit commands sweeping views across Gökova Bay, the Bodrum Peninsula, and Güvercinlik Bay.
