Adliye Mosque is the last mosque built in Bodrum during the Ottoman period. Construction began in 1901 and was completed within a year. It stands at the end of Kale Street on Cumhuriyet Square, in front of the old municipal building. Funded by money sent by Sultan Abdülhamid II and contributions from the local people, it is known among locals as Hamidiye Mosque for the Sultan's patronage, and as Yeni Mosque—the New Mosque—because it was the last to be built. The structure features a nearly rectangular plan of cut stone, a wooden roof, and a single-balconied minaret. It underwent restoration inside and out in 2007 by the Aydın Waqfs Regional Directorate.
